Settings, one by one
What each of Settings’ choices does: language, currency, theme, price colours, flashing prices, compact coin pages, page introductions, shortcuts and Reset everything.
Settings is the gear at the end of the header, on every page and on the blog. Every choice in it is kept in this browser, not in an account, and holds on every page.
Language
The site is in 7 languages: English, Español, 简体中文, Français, Deutsch, Português (Brasil) and العربية. Choosing one opens the same page in it, and from then on the site’s English addresses lead to that language’s.
Local currency conversion
Amounts in US dollars, or in EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD or CHF, converted at Kraken’s live rate. Percentages and funding rates stay as they are. Without a fresh rate for 2 minutes, amounts go back to dollars.
Theme
System follows your device; Light and Dark stay as they are. A first visit is dark, and T switches between light and dark on any page.
Price colours
Green up, Red up as Chinese markets show them, or Colour-blind friendly: Blue up, orange down.
Motion
Flash prices as they change: a brief wash of your up or down colour when a price on an index moves. If your device asks for less motion, prices don’t flash either way.
Compact coin pages
A row for each exchange instead of a card. Automatic turns it on with 5 or more exchanges on; Always and Never keep it one way. The Compact button on a coin page changes it too.
Page introductions
The What this is card at the top of each page, for a first visit. Its corner button minimises it into the header; Show at the top of each page brings every one back.
Keyboard shortcuts
/ to search, T for light or dark, and Space to pause a coin page’s live prices.
Reset everything
Reset everything forgets all the site keeps in this browser: these settings, the exchanges you chose, your fee tiers, the index’s extra columns and the page introductions among them. The page reloads as on a first visit.
